Other Redditors are having this problem. Even one X user had it. They all seem to use Verizon Wireless carrier
too. Hmm! A couple posts said to use airplane on/off trick to fix the issue. It seems to be an old common issue
for Verizon Wireless iPhoners? :(
Hello.
Did anyone else's iPhone 11 Pro Max's cellular data Internet stop
working and require a shut down and power on to fix it?
Earlier on the road, iPhone 11 Pro Max (iOS v13.1)'s Verizon Wireless
cellular data Internet stopped working. It was showing 3G instead of
LTE. Turning off and on cellular did not fix it. Only iPhone's shut down
and power on fixed it.
Thank you for reading and hopefully answering soon. :)

Not for any Verizon users I know, including me and my wife, and several
friends, with devices ranging from an iPhone 6s, to an iPhone SE, to iPhone
X variants. None of us have had cellular connectivity issues with Verizon.

A couple posts out of literal multiple millions of people isn’t
statistically significant. You may feel differently, but factual data
doesn’t care about your feelings.

You encountered an issue. It was solved with a restart. That’s not a reason
to become sad or hysterical. If it happens repeatedly, contact Apple
Support for assistance.

Unrelated to the iPhone 11, I had a similar problem last week in Italy
with Vodafone. The phone would switch to 3G but in reality data didn't
work at all when it displayed 3G. Airplane mode cycling didn't solve it.
A power cycle corrected the problem.

I had both an iPhone and a Samsung phone with me. The iPhone had a
T-Mobile SIM card that T-Mobile provided to my office as an incentive
for us to give T-Mobile a try. But it only included throttled data so it
was not very useful. The Samsung had a Vodafone UK SIM card which worked
well.

As an aside, if you're going to Europe and want to have a SIM card and
plan set up before you go, Vodafone UK has a pretty good deal. It's £1
per day for 500MB of data, unlimited SMS and voice, in the EU and EEA.
No charge on days you don't use it. It doesn't expire as long as you
make a call or text every 180 days. It also works in the U.S. but it's
very expensive to use it in the U.S..

You can get a better deal with more data once you get to Europe €10 for
20GB of data for a month with unlimited SMS and voice. But I needed to
have navigation capability as soon as I arrived.

navigation doesn't require any data unless you want realtime traffic,
and 20gb/month is *way* more than enough for that, along with many
other things.
